The Trump administration is moving forward with a plan to allow compounding pharmacies to produce certain peptides, according to a report from STAT's Pharmalittle newsletter.
Compounding pharmacies mix custom medications for individual patients. The plan would let them make specific peptides — short chains of amino acids — that are not currently approved for general use.
The report also noted other pharmaceutical news, including President Trump's holdings in drug company stocks.
