ASICS Bets Big on U.S. with First Overseas Research Lab at University of Michigan

Japanese sportswear giant ASICS is building its first research and development facility outside of Japan. The new lab will be located at the University of Michigan in the United States. The move signals ASICS's strategy to strengthen its global presence. The U.S. is the company's largest market. Establishing a lab there will help ASICS develop products faster for American athletes. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year. The facility is expected to open in 2025.
