İmamoğlu: Dawn raid on Istanbul Municipality, but no urgency on fund scandal

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu criticized what he called a double standard in Turkey's justice system. He said a dawn operation was carried out against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), while the same speed was not shown in a fund embezzlement case. Speaking about the operations, İmamoğlu drew a comparison between two institutions. "On one side İBB, on the other the İMKB (Istanbul Stock Exchange)," he said. "A process was managed against İBB without giving it room to breathe, while no intervention was made on the other side."
