The Dangote Refinery has extended its initial public offering (IPO) by two weeks, now closing on October 27, 2026, following strong public demand.
The extension comes as conflict in the Middle East escalates. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a key oil shipping route, has caused crude prices to surge and supplies to run short.
In response, African and European countries are turning to the Dangote Refinery in large numbers for fuel.
Nigeria's Dangote Refinery is Africa's leading crude oil producer. It now aims to become a regional hub for refining and petrochemicals.
