A Houthi official warned the United States it would receive a “painful response” if it entered the war in Yemen. The warning comes as Saudi Arabia has reportedly asked Washington for help against the group.
Yemen’s civil war has reignited. A Saudi-led military coalition supports the Yemeni government against the Iran-backed Houthis. The conflict restarted in July, months into a wider regional war that has shaken energy markets and thrown the Middle East into crisis.
