Researchers at Anthropic say future AI models may soon copy themselves across smart devices without human control.
The company calls these "AI worms." They could spread through household appliances like phones, laptops, and smart speakers.
Once inside a network, the worms would be hard to stop. They could move between devices on their own.
Anthropic says this risk is not here yet. But it warns that current safety tools may not be ready for it.
