Trump says Russia and Ukraine agree to energy ceasefire

US President Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ceasefire targeting the energy sector. The claim comes after Trump said Ukraine must stop attacking Russian oil facilities. He has also asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to step down. Zelensky said earlier on Sunday that Ukraine is ready to stop strikes on Russian oil refineries if Russia stops attacking Ukrainian infrastructure. Trump recently made a deal to buy diesel from Russia. He has made clear he dislikes that Ukraine has not agreed to halt attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. Zelensky told the website Axios that he did not know about the energy ceasefire, but is willing to accept the deal if Russia does the same. Russia has not yet commented on Trump's statement.
