Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to stop its drone strikes on Russian oil refineries. In return, he said, Russia must stop attacking Ukraine's energy grid.
The offer came as Kyiv pushed back against former U.S. President Donald Trump's call for a new Ukrainian president. Ukrainian officials rejected the idea, saying leadership should be decided by Ukrainians, not foreign politicians.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones struck a Russian data hub. The target is part of Russia's infrastructure for collecting and processing information.
The exchange of strikes continues as both sides try to gain advantage. Ukraine's offer links two key targets: Russian oil exports, which fund Moscow's war effort, and Ukraine's power plants, which leave civilians without heat and electricity.
There has been no public response from Moscow to Zelenskyy's proposal.
