Delhi is preparing for a second day of youth protests calling for the resignation of India's election chief. The demonstrations continued on Sunday after a court ordered the release of Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the "Cockroach" movement, along with two other senior leaders. Dipke founded the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). He and the other leaders were detained on Saturday when their plane landed in Delhi. The group had planned to gather thousands of supporters at Jantar Mantar, a designated protest site in central Delhi. More than 2,000 people were reportedly detained on Saturday. The detentions drew criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling government. The protests reflect growing youth anger in India and present a challenge to the government. Demonstrators are demanding that the country's chief election officer step down.
