The aunt of a 10-year-old girl killed in the Sydney shopping center attack has shared memories of her niece’s loving spirit.
In an interview with the BBC, Lina Chernykh described her niece, Matilda, as a joyous child. Chernykh said Matilda spread love to everyone around her.
“Maybe she’s an angel now,” Chernykh told the broadcaster.
Matilda was one of six people killed in the stabbing attack at Bondi Junction Westfield on April 13.
