AI takes jobs: DNB cuts 400 positions

📡 NRK (Norway) · 1 min read ·
DNB will cut around 400 full-time jobs in its technology and services division, the bank said in a stock exchange announcement. The cuts come because the bank is using more artificial intelligence (AI). Computer programs are now taking over tasks that people used to do, such as coding and checking customer data. "We are already seeing significant gains, and are therefore adapting our organization to a new reality," said CEO Kjerstin Braathen. The job cuts will be completed by the New Year.
