Police in London and Manchester have pledged to arrest anyone chanting the slogan "Globalize the Intifada."
Senior officers announced a new, "more assertive" approach. They said the slogan is now considered a public order offense.
The policy shift follows two recent attacks. Authorities cited the Bondi Beach stabbing massacre in Sydney and a foiled terrorist plot against a synagogue in the UK.
"Intifada" is an Arabic term for "uprising." It is historically associated with armed Palestinian resistance against Israel.
Police stated the chant is viewed as a public call for violence. They argue it threatens British Jews and wider community safety.
Individuals chanting the phrase now face arrest for racially or religiously aggravated public disorder.
