A high school movement that began in the Paris suburbs has spread across France in just two weeks. Students are protesting against teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms, and deteriorating school buildings.
The demonstrations have now reached over a thousand high schools and are spreading to universities. The CGT union has offered its organizational resources to the students for a planned action on October 6.
