Two new officers now lead the Chinese military division responsible for Taiwan. This comes after the unit was heavily impacted by Beijing's ongoing anti-corruption campaign.
The Eastern Theatre Command of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) appears to be under new leadership. The officers currently presiding over it reportedly joined the command only recently.
Separately, senior U.S. and Chinese defense officials have held further talks. The discussions aimed at maintaining communication between the two militaries.
