Congresswoman Demands Full Release of Epstein Client List

A U.S. lawmaker is demanding the public release of all documents naming associates of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The call comes just before a court-imposed deadline for the U.S. Justice Department to propose its plan for making the records public. Democratic Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley stated the release is crucial for victims. “We’ve been fighting for transparency, accountability and healing for the Epstein survivors,” she said. The documents are part of a settled civil case. They are expected to contain names of Epstein’s associates and clients, referred to as "John and Jane Does." A federal judge ordered the Justice Department to propose a schedule for their release by January 22. Epstein was a convicted sex offender. He died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on new sex trafficking charges. The upcoming release has sparked intense public interest over who may be named. The Justice Department must now outline how and when it will unseal the files. Pressley’s demand increases pressure for a complete and timely disclosure.
