China has called on Israel to immediately curb violent attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. The Chinese government also demanded Israel lift all economic restrictions on Gaza, which it described as a form of collective punishment.
In a formal statement, a Chinese spokesperson urged Israel to follow international law. Specific demands include opening all border crossings into Gaza and removing limits on humanitarian supplies.
Beijing further insisted that Israel must fully support United Nations agencies and other aid organizations working in Gaza. It stated that allowing their operations is a legal obligation.
The statement frames the economic measures and settler violence as major obstacles to peace and stability in the region. China positioned its demands as necessary steps for Israel to meet its responsibilities under international law.
