Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has launched a new website for donations to former President Donald Trump. The site is called Trump Accounts.
Bessent also announced a new, specific IRS tax form for these donations. He said the form is now available.
In a further development, Bessent stated that billionaire investor Ray Dalio will donate to the initiative. Dalio is the founder of the large hedge fund Bridgewater Associates.
The "Trump Accounts" project is designed to fund Trump's legal expenses and policy efforts. This move formalizes a major financial operation for the former president's current activities.
