Moscow has warned NATO that blocking its exclave Kaliningrad could trigger a Russian nuclear attack on NATO countries, according to a letter sent to the alliance and cited by Financial Times sources.
Kaliningrad is a Russian territory on the Baltic Sea, separated from mainland Russia and bordered by NATO members Poland and Lithuania.
NATO confirmed to Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter that it received the letter.
