BioNTech, the maker of a leading COVID-19 vaccine, will close three sites in Germany after failing to find buyers. The company did not say how many jobs will be lost.
In a separate development, water levels on the Rhine river have dropped to record lows. Germany faced an unusually dry September, and the low water is disrupting shipping on one of Europe's busiest waterways.
