US Navy Creates Drone Command to Counter China Threat

The US Navy has established a new command to combine its growing fleet of aerial, surface, and underwater drones into a single fighting force. US commanders have linked this capability to disrupting a potential Chinese attack on Taiwan. The Robotic and Autonomous Systems Warfighting Development Centre was formally established on September 24 in Virginia. Its mission is threefold: develop tactics for unmanned systems, train sailors to operate them, and test whether the drones can keep working under realistic combat conditions.
