Oil rises again as Iran talks stall

📡 Bloomberg Markets · 1 min read ·
Oil prices climbed for a second day on Monday. The market is caught between two forces: uncertainty over US-Iran nuclear talks and signs of strong global demand. Talks between the US and Iran have made little progress. This raises doubts about whether Iranian oil will return to world markets soon. Fewer barrels from Iran would tighten supply and push prices up. At the same time, strong demand is supporting prices. Flows have also resumed through a key pipeline in Saudi Arabia, the world's top oil exporter. That extra supply could slow the price rise. Traders are watching both sides closely. For now, the stalled talks are outweighing the restart of Saudi flows.
