Formula 1's most talked-about rookie prospect, 17-year-old Kimi Antonelli, was recently spotted testing a go-kart while trying not to be recognized. The young driver wore a full-face helmet and plain clothing at the track.
Despite his attempt to stay anonymous, Antonelli's driving gave him away. He received two penalty points during the session for a rules infringement. However, he also achieved the fastest lap time of the day.
Antonelli is part of Mercedes' junior driver program. Many experts predict he will join Formula 1 soon. This informal test shows he is actively training, even during the professional racing offseason.
