Prime Minister Keir Starmer has demanded that former Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich fulfill his financial pledge to Ukraine.
The warning follows Abramovich's 2022 promise to donate all net proceeds from the sale of the football club to help Ukrainian victims of the war. The sale generated billions.
Starmer stated that Abramovich must transfer the funds immediately. If he does not, the UK government will take legal action.
The government did not specify a deadline for payment. However, officials confirmed they are preparing a case to ensure the money reaches its intended cause.
