Microsoft Trains 4 Million Nigerians in Digital Skills, Adds AI Program

Microsoft has provided digital skills training to four million Nigerians over the past five years, a company official has announced. The tech giant's National Skills Initiative (NSI) reached the milestone as part of its ongoing effort to boost the country's digital economy. Ugochukwu Ujam, a Microsoft official, also announced a new training program in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative aims to teach AI skills to 350,000 Nigerians. Ujam described the expansion into AI training as a "major milestone." The AI training will be part of the existing National Skills Initiative. The programs are designed to improve job readiness and create new opportunities in the technology sector for Nigerian citizens.
