EU Expansion Shock: Serbia Proposes All Balkan Neighbors Join at Once

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has proposed a radical shift in European Union expansion policy. He suggests that all Western Balkan nations should join the EU simultaneously, as a single group. This idea challenges the current step-by-step approach, where countries are evaluated individually. The EU has long stated that the future of the region is within the bloc. However, progress has been slow for the six candidates: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
