The first funerals for victims of the Bondi terror attack have begun. Rabbi Eli Schlanger, 41, was remembered Wednesday as “a force” and “much more than a rabbi.”
He was one of several people killed in the shooting. The service was held at Chabad of Bondi, where Schlanger served as assistant rabbi.
Friends, family, members of the Jewish community and politicians attended. They described the father of five as a great leader who died “doing what he loved best.”
