Zelensky to Trump: End the war before winter

He warned that living conditions across Ukraine are getting harder, and that the longer the war lasts, the more people will die on the frontline. Trump said Ukraine and Russia have agreed not to attack each other's energy infrastructure. This marks a change in his position, as he had previously criticized Kyiv for striking Russian oil refineries. According to France 24 correspondent Gulliver Cragg, the Black Sea could be another area for a temporary ceasefire. Attacks there have disrupted grain shipments from both Ukraine and Russia. Ukraine has said it is willing to cooperate, but Zelensky questioned whether Russia would do the same. Analysts say Ukraine's growing pressure on Russian oil infrastructure could open the door to a limited ceasefire. However, it is unclear how hard Trump is pushing for such a deal, or when he would want it to happen.
