Four dead as Russia strikes Ukraine’s industrial heartland

Russia fired ballistic missiles at the southern Ukrainian industrial cities of Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad overnight, killing at least four people and wounding six, Oleksandr Hanzha, governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region, said on Telegram on Tuesday. All casualties occurred in Dnipro, where people are still believed to be trapped under the rubble of a damaged industrial facility. The Russian Defence Ministry confirmed the attacks, saying they targeted Ukraine’s metals, chemicals, energy and arms industries.
