When Xi Jinping meets US President Donald Trump in Washington on Thursday, the Chinese leader will be joined by senior aides with deep policy experience.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed on Monday that Xi will make a state visit to the United States from Wednesday to Friday.
It is Xi’s first state visit to Washington since 2015. It is also his second face-to-face meeting with Trump this year, as the world’s two largest economies seek to manage their relationship.
