Poland wants to host 15,000 United States troops on its soil. The Polish government has made this proposal as part of its ongoing security partnership with the U.S.
The plan would place American soldiers permanently in Poland. This would strengthen NATO's presence in Eastern Europe.
Poland has not yet received a final answer from Washington. Talks between the two countries are continuing.
