President Prabowo Subianto said Indonesia must achieve self-reliance in food and energy to secure its future as a strong nation.
Speaking at an event, Prabowo described food and energy independence as the essential foundations for Indonesia to stand on its own.
He stressed that a nation unable to feed itself or power its economy cannot truly be sovereign.
The president called on all parts of society to support efforts toward these goals.
