A surprise Russian ground assault using motorcycles was destroyed almost immediately by Ukrainian forces, new footage confirms.
The attack, targeting areas near the frontline city of Pokrovsk in eastern Ukraine, was intercepted within one kilometer of its starting point. Geolocated video shows the entire column of vehicles engulfed in flames.
Ukrainian military units had already deployed dozens of attack drones along the expected route. This allowed them to detect and strike the fast-moving motorcycle units before they could reach their objective.
The failed assault demonstrates Ukraine's increasing use of pre-planned drone positions to counter sudden, mobile attacks. Analysts say such tactics are crucial for defending against attempts to breach defensive lines.
