US President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the United States has reached an agreement with Denmark to expand its military presence in Greenland. He said the deal respects the sovereignty of both Denmark and Greenland.
Denmark confirmed the agreement and said it will be signed next week during the UN General Assembly. The deal still requires approval from Denmark's parliament before it can take effect.
