UK's Centenarian Population Doubles in Two Decades

The number of people aged 100 and over in the UK has doubled since 2004, new data shows. Official figures from the Office for National Statistics reveal there are now 16,600 centenarians. This is a rise from 8,300 just twenty years ago. The growth is even sharper among men. The male centenarian population has more than tripled, from 910 to 3,100. The number of female centenarians also increased significantly, nearly doubling from 7,400 to 13,600. We want to hear from UK centenarians, as well as their family and friends.
