China has hit back after the US Congress passed a bill on Wednesday. The bill would let US President Donald Trump sanction Russia and its biggest energy buyers, including China.
The bill is named after the late Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. It allows tariffs of up to 100 percent on the top five importers of Russian oil and natural gas.
When asked about the bill, Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said Beijing has always opposed "long-arm jurisdiction."
