Huawei unveils 11 AI chips to challenge Nvidia

Huawei announced 11 new chips designed for artificial intelligence (AI) computing. The Chinese technology company presented the products as a direct challenge to Nvidia, Intel, and AMD — the leading makers of AI processors worldwide. The chips are built for AI training and inference. Training means teaching an AI model to recognize patterns. Inference means using that trained model to answer questions or make decisions. Huawei did not release prices or a launch date. The company also did not say which countries will receive the chips first. Nvidia currently dominates the global AI chip market. Intel and AMD are its main competitors. US export controls already limit Huawei's access to advanced chipmaking tools, which could slow production. Huawei said the new lineup will power its own cloud and data center services.
