Lebanese President Joseph Aoun met French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace on Monday. The two leaders discussed ways to end Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
Their talks also covered preparations for a three-way meeting on support for the Lebanese army and security forces. That preparatory meeting is expected to take place before a larger conference on aid for Lebanon.
France has long played a role in Lebanon's affairs and has pushed for a ceasefire. No date has been announced for the trilateral talks.
