Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed the Middle East situation, Beijing said. The call followed a trip to Beijing by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The call also comes before an expected summit between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington next week.
