Malaysia's rapid data center expansion will drive major new investment in power generation, according to a new report from Moody's.
The ratings agency says the growth of cloud computing and artificial intelligence is fueling demand for data centers across the country. These facilities require massive amounts of electricity to operate and cool their servers.
That demand, Moody's says, will push Malaysia to invest heavily in its power infrastructure.
