Syria’s economy minister toured a major Saudi industrial exhibition this week, a visit highlighting a significant diplomatic shift.
Minister Nidal al-Shaar visited the "Made in Saudi 2025" event in Riyadh. He was accompanied by his Saudi counterpart, Bandar al-Khorayef.
Syria holds the special position of "guest of honor" at this year's exhibition. Organizers say this emphasizes stronger bilateral relations and industrial cooperation between the two nations.
The high-profile visit signals continued warming between Syria and Saudi Arabia. Riyadh restored diplomatic relations with Damascus last year.
