Sweden's political parties have started coalition negotiations after Sunday's election produced a near-tie. With 95% of votes counted, the centre-left bloc led by Social Democrats leader Magdalena Andersson holds a narrow lead of 176 seats to 173 for the right-leaning parties.
Full results will not be confirmed until overseas votes are counted on Wednesday. Even if the centre-left holds its lead, Andersson faces a difficult task: her bloc includes parties with conflicting policies, and she must unite them before she can form a government.
