Police in Turkey have launched a sweeping operation across 15 provinces targeting LGBT+ associations, activists, and venues. The government calls the crackdown "Ailem Güvende" — meaning "My Family Is Safe."
Politicians, lawyers, journalists, and human rights defenders condemned the operation on social media. They say it strikes at the heart of LGBT+ existence in the country.
