Dario Amodei, CEO of AI company Anthropic, is calling for AI companies to slow down the development of new models. In a post on X, he said a slower pace would allow more time to manage risks related to AI. Anthropic is one of the world's largest AI companies. Amodei's statement comes after Anthropic published a report on Thursday showing how its models have been used to develop weapons, surveillance tools and fraud. After Amodei's post, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk, who owns X, both said they agreed.
