Indonesia is intensifying its response to forest and land fires across six priority provinces.
The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said it is carrying out large-scale, integrated operations to contain the blazes.
The agency has deployed personnel, aircraft, and equipment to fight the fires from the ground and the air.
Indonesia's forest fires often spread quickly during the dry season and can blanket the region in smoke.
The BNPB said efforts are focused on the most affected areas to prevent the fires from growing further.
