Turkey restricts hormone access for trans people, citing 'family structure'

Turkey's Ministry of Health has defended a new age restriction on hormone access for transgender people, saying it aims to "protect the family structure."
Under the rule, transgender individuals must be at least 21 years old to obtain hormone prescriptions.
The ministry did not answer why prescriptions using the F64 diagnosis code are blocked in the national e-prescription system. F64 is the medical code for gender identity disorders.
