Chinese leader Xi Jinping will meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at the BRICS Summit in India.
The visit is Xi's first to India since a deadly military clash between the two countries in 2020. The confrontation took place in the Galwan Valley, a disputed border area in the Himalayas, and killed soldiers on both sides.
The meeting marks a rare face-to-face contact between the two leaders since the clash.
