A group of 122 European Parliament members is urging EU leaders to restart plans to use over €200 billion in frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine.
The cross-party group says the funds are urgently needed. Ukraine faces a €23 billion defense funding gap and its hardest winter since the war began.
The assets were immobilized after Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. EU leaders previously hesitated, citing legal risks.
The lawmakers want the plan back on the agenda. No decision has been made yet.
