Twelve countries, including Britain, Canada and France, announced Tuesday that they will impose trade sanctions on Israeli settlements in the West Bank. The move follows a rise in attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian villages in the occupied territory.
British Foreign Minister Ed Miliband told the House of Commons that the UK can no longer simply “call out” injustice and suffering. He said the country must now “act” to oppose the expansion of settlements.
