US Envoys Visit Kyiv After Putin Talks Fail to Break Deadlock

US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Kyiv for their first official visit to Ukraine, following more than three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow that produced no announced breakthrough. The renewed US diplomatic push comes as Ukraine’s deeper strikes into Russian territory have shifted the dynamics of the conflict, according to Bloomberg News Chief Europe Correspondent Oliver Crook, speaking on Bloomberg This Weekend. European governments are watching the new US effort with cautious optimism, Crook added. The visit marks a rare direct engagement by senior US officials on the ground in Ukraine, signaling a fresh attempt to find common ground after the Moscow meeting yielded no public progress.
