US strikes Iranian targets in Strait of Hormuz after attacks on ships

Iranian state television reports explosions on the island of Qeshm in the Strait of Hormuz. Blasts were also heard in the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Sirik. The U.S. Central Command confirms it is attacking targets in response to recent Iranian attempts to strike commercial shipping in the strait.
